Content Management Community of Practice - Research
The Content Management Community of Practice could have a strong research program into CM technologies.Bob Doyle has been exploring the extension of Bob Boiko's CMS Evaluation Lab, a project of the University of Washington iSchool, to schools in the Boston/Cambridge area.
Rather than install working CM systems on specific school computers, the plan is to get cooperating vendors to provide "sandbox" installations of their tools at their own data centers. Our organization, "CMS Labs," would then hand out usernames and passwords to collaborating institutions, for use by students and faculty researchers.
CMS Labs would also allow access to independent researchers, particularly writers preparing technology and product reviews for magazines and online publications like CMS Review.
In all cases the vendors would be able to approve/deny each individual access.
